Ginto Flat

A blouson inspired by ceramic artist shoji kamoda's "ginto kakubachi" (silver ceramic square bowl). The heavy texture of the "ginto kakubachi" is reproduced with a silver foil-embossed textile. Based on the "flat" series of plant-derived polyester material, this item is shaped like a rounded square when viewed from directly above, resembling the square bowl. By applying foil to the flat surface of the garment rather than the fabric, the unevenness of the foil application creates subtle variations reminiscent of the "ginto kakubachi". Following the "ginto kakubachi" which has a precise shape and sharp edges yet retains traces of handwork, this garment also has a natural, non-linear form.
